The best IT-projects on the base of Cisco solutions implemented in Ukraine in 2010 had been awarded at the official ceremony that took place before Kiev Cisco EXPO-2010 working sessions on November, 3. This ceremony has been an integral part of Cisco Expo for four years and has ment to be a measure of IT-innovations implementation in Ukrainian companies. As the best "Departmental videotelephony system” the jury found a solution for the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine by Softline Intecracy Group consortium partners. This is the first of its kind videtelephony project in the domestic public administration sector, which connected all the territorial subdivisions of one organization across the country.

Moreover video communications are now used not only by top management but also by whole department stuff. This project became a part of two stages of the e-government ideology realization: “electronic government employee” and “e-ministry” in the Main Department of Civil Service. Its main purpose is to provide modern secure telephone communications with the ability to conduct virtual meetings by means of video- and audio- conference connection between employees of central and regional offices of the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine.

As a project implementation result the information structure was put into operation in the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine as well as in its 27 regional offices, it includes: departmental IP-telephony network with access to the common telephone network in each region; the organization and videoconference system available for more than 400 employees of central and regional departments able to broadcast online weekly conference calls at the public authorities’ portal. The videotelephone system start-up allowed the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine to upraise the communication with regional offices employees to higher level and at the same time to reduce hours and costs on business trips and work-related issues solution.
