In January 2007, Softline managers were certified under the IPMA 4-L-C programme of the International Project Management Association (IPMA).
The certification was carried out by Professor S. D. Bushuiev, President of the Ukrainian Project Management Association and an internationally recognised assessor.
The company's managers were certified at the following levels:
Level C – 9 Softline employees: a registered professional project manager (PMP) must be able to manage non-complex projects independently or work effectively in a team of managers of complex, multi-component projects in various areas of project management (certificate valid for 5 years).
Level D – 5 Softline employees: a professional project manager (PMF) must have project management knowledge and be able to apply it in the professional management of projects in specific fields (certificate with no expiry date).
The certification programme encourages the professional development of project managers and the members of teams that manage projects, with the aim of:
– broadening and improving their knowledge, experience and professional management skills;
– supporting their continuous learning; improving the quality of project management;
– ensuring that project objectives are achieved.
From the Customer's point of view, having a project run by a certified manager means:
– high-quality fulfilment of all requirements;
– meeting the agreed project deadlines;
– staying within the budget allocated to the project,
which certainly guarantees the Customer's satisfaction with the project results and with the cooperation with the Contractor.
It should be recalled that the Institute of Project Management at Softline has been operating since 2003. In total, the company employs 35 project managers certified under IPMA and PMI programmes.
