On July 17, the first meeting of the Zhytomyr .NET User Group took place in Zhytomyr. Its purpose was an effective exchange of experience and an opportunity for developers to communicate with each other and with invited gurus.
The meeting was attended by developers representing various Zhytomyr companies, all of whom use Microsoft .NET technology.
The invited speakers were Serhii Baidachnyi (Microsoft representative in Ukraine), who was specially invited from Kyiv and gave an interesting presentation on the new features of the C# 3.0 programming language as well as a presentation of the capabilities of .NET Framework 3.5, and Dmytro Kurylovych (Softline representative in Rivne). Dmytro runs training courses for developers and was glad to take part in the conference; he spoke about the practical use of DataBound Controls in ASP.NET 2.0.
At this stage, such conferences are planned to be held once every three months in order to build a close-knit community where interesting and useful information circulates.
