On 16 April 2007, the web portal supporting investment cooperation and foreign economic projects, www.ukraine-tipp.gov.ua, was presented. The presentation was organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Softline JSC. The new web resource is the state's official information source on foreign economic cooperation and investment. It will be promoted by Ukraine's diplomatic missions in other countries and maintained by the relevant units of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. |
The presentation was opened by Serhii Korsunskyi, Director of the Economic Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, who stressed: "The web portal supporting investment and foreign economic cooperation is an example of a modern information resource aimed at intensifying the foreign economic ties of Ukraine's regions. It will make it possible to use modern technologies to attract potential investors and foreign partners to joint projects in every corner of Ukraine." |
Softline Project Director Yurii Shkil noted that "through this web portal, potential investors will be able to obtain the information they need to start a business in Ukraine. It should also be noted that this web portal is the official state source of information on opportunities for investing in Ukraine's economy. It will help increase investment volumes and improve the country's external image." |
Softline Project Manager Maksym Vyshnivetskyi then introduced the audience, which included representatives of regional state administrations, ministries, the National Bank of Ukraine, public organisations and foundations, to the main sections of the new web portal and demonstrated how easy it is to manage portal sections and to create publications and a document archive in the Megapolis™.Portal Manager system. |
In particular, Maksym Vyshnivetskyi said: "The Portal Manager content management system enables users to quickly and conveniently publish text, graphics and other information materials on the web portal. Each user responsible for filling the portal with content will have a separate account and content management rights. Representatives of the units of state and commercial institutions dealing with investment activity will take part in filling the web portal developed by Softline. We hope that, thanks to the interest of everyone who creates this information resource, it will become a convenient, useful and dynamic source of information on foreign investment projects in Ukraine's economy." The presentation also included a hands-on session on managing the web portal and filling it with content, where anyone interested could see how publications and a file archive are created and how banners and images are managed. The web portal was developed by specialists of Softline, a leading Ukrainian developer of information systems, software and Internet solutions for the public and business sectors. A list of web portals implemented by Softline is available here: http://softline.kiev.ua/inet. The purpose of the web portal is to provide information, organisational and technological support for investment cooperation and foreign economic projects and to create conditions for improving Ukraine's international image. The operation of the web portal will promote the introduction of modern methods of attracting investment and servicing investors, the presentation of the investment and foreign economic potential of Ukrainian regions to foreign investors, and the improvement of the investment and business climate in Ukraine. The web portal is aimed at foreign and domestic investors, company representatives, and central and regional government bodies. Representatives of the economic missions of foreign embassies, chambers of commerce and industry, the media, etc. are also expected to take an interest in it. |
