On December 16, Soft Regatta 2005, the annual contest of software developers, summed up its results. Softline’s software products won in two nominations: "Automation Software for Specific Industries" and "Internet".

This system belongs to the OSS class and is designed to automate the operation processes of a telecommunications network. The system keeps records of the entire telecommunications network infrastructure and monitors active equipment.

The system is built on modern technologies and is a multi-user system with centralized data storage based on Oracle DBMS. It uses elements of a geographic information system. Cartographic information is processed with tools by ESRI, the leading company in the GIS sector. The system has been successfully deployed at the Primary Network Directorate, a branch of Ukrtelecom JSC.

In the "Internet – Integrated Toolkits for Web" nomination, Softline’s development, the MegapolisTM.Internet-Monitoring web resource monitoring system, won 1st place.

The MegapolisTM.Internet-Monitoring web resource monitoring system is one of the unique domestic developments; it uses the search mechanisms of the Meta system with its unique morphological analyser.

The MegapolisTM.Internet-Monitoring system provides specialists at government bodies, enterprises, press services and analytical departments, as well as managers at various levels, with a universal tool for many crucial tasks, in particular:

- conducting their own analysis of micro- and macro-markets;

- promptly tracking decisions adopted by state authorities and the activities of institutions, organizations and enterprises;

- monitoring topical news;

- competitive intelligence, etc.

Its uniqueness lies in the fact that the system ensures anonymous monitoring, so that the user’s own interest in the topics being investigated is not disclosed to intermediaries.

The MegapolisTM.Internet-Monitoring web resource monitoring system is a joint development of Softline and Meta, the leading Ukrainian developer of information retrieval systems. Today the system has been successfully deployed and is in operation at several large state institutions, such as the National Bank of Ukraine, the Clearing House and the State Committee of Ukraine for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship.
