In March 2006, Softline modernised the web portal of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine (http://mpe.energy.gov.ua), which had been developed and deployed by Softline specialists back in 2003.
The updated portal of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy has been modernised so that it now meets all the requirements of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Concept on uniform standards for all websites of state authorities (standard design, content publishing system, search system, availability of certain services, technologies, etc.). This made it possible to integrate the Ministry's website into the Single Web Portal of the Executive Authorities of Ukraine.
The official web portal of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy is hosted on the platform of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine; it is part of the so-called Data Centre system, which brings together the websites of the central executive authorities of Ukraine.
Visitors to the web portal will find a great deal of useful and interesting information: on tenders at enterprises of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy, on procurement volumes of key goods, information resources of the fuel and energy sector of Ukraine, information on the "Ukrainian Coal" Programme, and more. The web portal will help present the Ministry's activities to citizens more transparently and openly, and will contribute to raising the overall level of openness and transparency of the state authorities of Ukraine.
The updated website of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy was developed by Softline specialists on the basis of the latest programming technologies – the Megapolis™.Portal Manager portal management system. With this multifunctional system, Ministry staff can fully administer the web resource, including content publishing and the management of portal services.
