On 12 March, Softline gave a presentation for senior students of Kyiv National Economic University.
Leading Western universities have long practised close cooperation with market-leading companies to arrange temporary internships or future employment for their graduates.
Together with the Faculty of Information Systems and Technologies and the Department of Information Management of Kyiv National Economic University, Softline gave a presentation for senior students.
At the presentation, the company's leading specialists shared information about the state-of-the-art technologies used in Softline's new projects for the company's largest Ukrainian and foreign clients, as well as details of Softline's HR programmes.
Vice President Volodymyr Sharov spoke about Softline's role in the development of the domestic software development market. The presentation was continued by Oleksii Harmash, Head of Marketing and Advertising, who outlined the competitive advantages of Softline's solutions, one of which is the company's own Megapolis technology (softline.kiev.ua/en/document-management), a tool for developing information systems. Systems developed on the Megapolis technology include Megapolis.Accounting, Megapolis.Budgeting and Controlling, Megapolis.Indicator Collection and Analysis, Megapolis.DocumentFlow, Megapolis.HR Management, Megapolis.Billing and others.
HR Director Olena Hapych presented Softline's HR programmes. "Softline's management is currently focused on cooperating with universities and concluding partnership agreements with those that offer highly professional teaching and use modern programming tools and international management standards. Getting to know universities takes place precisely through presentations like this one, at which students are surveyed and their knowledge, aspirations and interest in gaining work experience are identified. At the first stage of cooperation with a university, an agreement is signed for the best students to do internships at Softline, which gives them the chance to state in their CVs that they have work experience at a well-known company. The second stage may be a traineeship: short-term work (from two weeks to six months) with modest pay and a subsequent opportunity to get a job at Softline. The third stage is the opportunity to take part in the work of the company's new Quick Sales department, a longer-term programme during which the student works and studies and, after graduating, is entitled to compete for a vacancy."
After the presentation, students had the opportunity to talk to the company's specialists in an informal setting over a glass of Coca-Cola, ask the questions that interested them and submit their CVs for consideration.
In the near future, Softline plans to hold presentations at other major Kyiv universities, and later at the largest universities in other regions of Ukraine.
