On 25 June, the 11th conference "Modern information solutions for public administration" took place at Softline headquarters. Participants shared their experience in delivering and implementing modern unified communications solutions, designing electronic document workflow, automating and optimizing the work of civil servants, and improving management decision-making by central and local authorities of Ukraine.
The conference was opened by Oleksandr Smyrnov, partner and Vice President of Softline, and by representatives of the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine: Andrii Vyshnevskyi, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine, and Volodymyr Dunaiev, Deputy Head of the Adaptation Center of the Main Department of Civil Service. They underlined the importance of the conference for sharing valuable experience in implementing and using modern information solutions in public administration.
Olha Sirenko and Olha Orishchyna, project managers at Softline, presented a document workflow system with electronic digital signature, from the start of its implementation to project support, using the example of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of Ukraine and the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine, where new subsystems have already been implemented ("Data Exchange" with electronic digital signature, "Document Preparation" with electronic digital signature, "User Notification", "Web Module", "Reporting Services"). The use of these systems increases the transparency of document development and processing, with the possibility of control at any stage. The system reduces the time needed to prepare and process documents, creates and automatically maintains a database of regulatory documents, improves the preparation of management decisions, reduces routine work (employees can concentrate on important tasks), makes it possible to simulate and improve the organizational structure, and reduces the number of lost documents.
Maksym Vyshnivetskyi, head of the Internet Solutions Department at Softline, explained how to solve such management problems as the lack of a unified user register, the inability to extend functionality without involving developers, and the need for unified search of documents and employees, shared work tools and reliable integration with other information sources. Building comprehensive web solutions solves these problems and helps increase the productivity of both individual employees and the organization as a whole. Many organizations, including the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine, already enjoy all these benefits.
Ihor Sukailo, consulting engineer at the Cisco representative office in Ukraine, together with Denys Tereby, project manager at Softline, presented new technologies that make it possible to hold multimedia conferences with employees of remote branches. Thanks to Cisco technologies, phone calls can be combined with work on electronic documents, which reduces employees' travel costs.
The conference featured a lively discussion, and the speakers answered many questions. As Oleksandr Smyrnov noted, Softline will continue to introduce organizations to modern information solutions; the next conference is planned for the autumn.
